Bio:

Malacath the Spurned has an odd history. Malacath’s father, Hirmuk, was a human, a wise noble man. A soldier for some kingdom or another, eventually came to live with a group of mercenaries through means which are unknown to Malacath. His father met a lovely orc named Lieh, a strong but not extremely bright personality. They became great partners in battle and were the best in their company, never backing down from a challenge, many years had passed in this group which slowly dwindled in numbers.
One day, a strange man dressed in fine silk robes and appeared to be blind, offered a large sum of money to their company to raid a cave of what seemed to be cultists. The details of the battle and outcome to Malacath are unclear, his mother and a cultist were the only survivors of the incident. From what his mother told him, there was a “magic talking man” who from she described, “Coated the room in light” and most people in the room were instantly disintegrated into ash. Malacath’s father was probably somewhere among the ashes, one cultist survived and ran, leaving Lieh to die. However, Lieh survived by means she is unable to explain to Malacath.
She realized some time later, that she was soon to be a mother to Hirmuk’s son and decided to settle down in a remote mountain village named Wrothgar. Her ancestors were skilled blacksmiths and so was she. She decided to make a living making weapons, not using them anymore. Soon after finding a shop in Wrothgar, she gave birth to a healthy young Half-Orc. She named him Malacath, after the god her tribe worshipped. The God was a so called god of war and warrior codes. She taught Malacath from the ripe age of 3 years old, how to sword fight (seeing as she couldn’t teach him to smith) and about the teachings of their god Malacath, every day.
One cold winter morning, the snow was fresh and settled on the earth outside, the sun had yet to rise, but light was starting to filter through the valley sky. It was peacefully quiet. But in one instant, the quiet rustling of the wind through the trees and hills, turned to blood curdling screams and battle cries. Malacath’s mother told him in the Orc Tongue ( which she only did if she was being very serious ) to stay inside and wait. Malacath walked over to the window to see what was happening. What he witnessed would forever change him. His village was being raided and was in the process of being razed to the ground. A group of bandits was threatening Lieh to let them through and raid her shop. She replied with a crack to the leader’s skull with her smithing hammer signifying her response. She was rushed by a sword which impaled her. Malacath doesn’t exactly know what happened then, but his mother’s eyes burned with a fiery rage and she grabbed the bandits arm which held the sword, broke it at the elbow and with unrealistic speed, removed the sword from her gut and beheaded the bandit and proceeded to kill 4 more bandits but eventually was overpowered.
Malacath was stunned, he didnt know what to do, he became enraged and when one of the bandits entered Liehs shop, he buried his axe into the man’s head and when the bandits finally subdued him, he had ripped out the throat of another bandit and was threatening to slaughter them all. Malacath passed out from exhaustion and when he awoke he was bound and sitting in a dark cell with 2 scars on his hand, small, yet visible. He however, was able to see through the dark and broke the rusted lock on the door and proceeded out into the hallway, He was greeted by the bandit Elder who saw in this young Half-Orc, a fine warrior. He offered Malacath a choice, join them and live among the bandit tribe, or be cast out into the wild to fend for himself. With no family and no village to return to, he decided to join their tribe. Malacath was 6 years old.
He trained, ate, slept and raided with the tribe for 13 years. During a raid on a remote village, he realized something. The tribes raids always targeted weak remote villages that were helpless, The God Malacath hated those who are too cowardly to fight on equal ground. He refused to raid the village and when confronted by the Elder who banished him from the tribe, he became outraged at their cowardice and slaughtered 9 members while the rest fled the scene. Malacath sat up against a tree and passed out from exhaustion. When he awoke it was dusk, and he had 9 more scars on his hand, he now had 11. He assumed that in his sleep he had carved the markings into his own hand, they created an orc symbol for Honor, Meht. (His insignia)
From then on he was known as Malacath the Spurned.
